Abandoned Crab Trap Removal

Join us for a conservation adventure with Galveston Bay Foundation to remove abandoned crab traps from Trinity Bay.  During the month of February, Texas waters are closed to crab trapping.  We will be the Good Samaritans who will remove lost and derelict crab traps from the Trinity Bay area.

We will meet at Fort Anahuac Park, 1704 S Main St, Anahuac, Texas 77514  by 9 AM Saturday morning (look for the Galveston Bay Foundation display).  Some of our volunteers will go on the boat to seek and remove crab traps, the remainder of our volunteers will remain on shore and crush and dispose of the traps.  Afterwards, everyone is invited to stay for lunch (your dime!) at one of the local restaurants nearby.  Register here (Squadron) if you can so we know who to expect – but last moment decisions to come and join the fun are acceptable.
