Derelict Crab Trap Removal

Event Phone: (832) 392-1946

Join us for a conservation adventure with Galveston Bay Foundation and the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department (TPWD) to remove derelict crab traps from Galveston Bay.

For this event we need boats on the water in Bolivar.  Jobs will be available on land as well to unload and smash the traps.  The best kind of boat for this work is low-profile and a power boat.  Boaters who are willing to help, please complete the ABC form (here) and then (also) fill out the external form for Galveston Bay Foundation, and select “Bolivar” as the site, then select “bringing a boat” as the volunteer task. The same form can be used to sign up for other jobs in Bolivar.

For more information, please contact Kristi via email.
