Cooperative Charting

Event Phone: (713) 303-8049

Cooperative Charting is a public service event where our members get on-the-water, survey a set list of aids to navigation, then record and report our findings.

It is a good day on and around the water; a great public service event, and a wonderful teaching aid to new boaters.  We will need several powerboats, a few participants with a cell phone camera and the Solocator application loaded, and help recording the condition of the aids to navigation we survey.  The Houston Squadron is responsible for two areas around Clear Lake and the Houston Ship Channel.  It is a great way to see navigation aids up close!

If you are interested, please sign up.  It’s free!  The Cooperative Charting Chair of the Houston Squadron will work with all the volunteers on assignment areas and the basic education for doing the survey effectively and safely.  This is a great event for youth, young adults and new boaters!  For more detailed information, please contact our Squadron Executive Officer (Marie Vu) at marieboatingclub@gmail.com and she will answer your questions or route them to the best person to answer your question.

Being ‘weather wise’, this event is postponed until an October date.  There is a forecast of rain or  thunderstorms.  Watch for updated information and dates for this event.

We're sorry, but all tickets sales have ended because the event is expired.
