First Aid for Mariners

This class covers First Aid, CPR & AED.   America’s Boating Club Houston offers this first aid, CPR and AED course.  The course is taught under authorization of the Emergency Care & Safety Institute (ECSI).  Certificates of completion will be issued to those completing the course.  The training is good for 2 years.

The complete course takes about 4 hours depending on the number of students.  There are skills assessments, but no written examination.  All materials and supplies for the training are included in the cost of the course.  The course opens with a short presentation “First Aid for Mariners“.

This course will meet all requirements of USCG EMCASI-202 Standard First Aid, CPR and AED as documented in “Course Approvals – Deputy Commandant for Operations – USCG”.  This course is required for the US Power Squadron Boat Operator Certification for Advanced Coastal Navigator (ACN) and for Offshore Navigator (ON), and can be used for a OUPV Captain’s License application or renewal.
