We will discuses expanding the America’s Boating Club – Houston’s Kayaking program to include fellowship (think parties) and expeditions to nearby nature – Woodlands Town Lake, Galveston Island State Park (several kayaking trails), Lake Stubblefield, Double Lake, quiet waters of Lake Houston and Lake Conroe, and many others that meet the Level 1 criteria.
The objective of this meeting is three fold: gauge the interest of past kayaking students in doing more kayaking, discover which path with insurance fits best, and organize a follow on kickoff party in September. We will have some snacks, an assortment of beverages, and a tour of the facility! The meeting is free – the gas to get to Home Port may not be free. Those who show up get to vote on the organizational direction we take. If you cannot attend but are interested, register as not planning to attend, but interested and we’ll keep you in the informational loop about this. Not your cup of tea, don’t respond at all. We’ll drop your address from the mailing list.
Remember that we are all about keeping folks safe on the water. We have a lot to offer you – so let us know what we can do. If you have questions or concerns, send Chris Leavitt, Kayaking Instructor, an e-mail at Leavitt10@yahoo.com or call 713-517-2204.
