Kayaking : Level 1

This class covers the Kayaking Level 1 Course.

The class takes about 2-1/2 hours.  Please review the requirements and logistics on the course description page.    Wear weather-appropriate clothing and water-ready footwear, bring a snack and a bottle of water.

All equipment for the training is provided (kayaks, paddles, life jackets, safety equipment, etc.)   You are welcome to bring your own kayak, but the cost remains the same.  If the course shows “Sold Out“, please call the contact one of the numbers below.  A limited number of additional students may be added.

We stress fun and safety; the cold/heat, water and winds are important to the education. During the summer season, when the projected heat index is above 105 F, we postpone the class.  The weather date, if needed, is usually the next weekend.  Participants will be informed by email and a phone call if the weather is not good for the training and reaffirm the make-up date.
