Docking and Maneuvering, VSE, and Docking Knots

This all-day event is excellent for new boaters and for those wanting to brush up on a few skills and techniques.

All day long we will give Free and Confidential Vessel Safety checks to all boaters; powered, sail and human-powered.  Just show up and ask for a ‘safety inspection’; it takes about 15 minutes and you’re done!  We will make sure that you have all the required safety equipment onboard and the equipment is in good condition.  The Vessel Safety checks are ‘on demand’ – simply show up and ask for a vessel safety inspection.

If you want to learn four knots and hitches that will keep your vessel safe and secure when dock-side, then we have plenty of time to teach you and refresh your memory about these knots and hitches.  You will learn a proper cleat hitch, the bowline, and a round-turn and double half-hitch.

Of course the Clinic wouldn’t be complete without some fun on the water.  Learn how to be successful at slow speed maneuvering.  Also learn the techniques and the best way to approach and leave a dock; safe and efficient in any wind or water condition.  Sign up for your slot for the on-the-water fun.  We supply everything: boat, life jackets and fun!
