This class covers the Sail Course.   It will be taught every Tuesday night, on the listed schedule.  The first 8 dates are instruction, followed by an overall review, and finally the exam.  If you cannot make it to one or more of the instruction dates, you should be okay.  Please plan on attending in-person for the review and the examination, as they must be done in person at Home Port.  The review and examination is currently scheduled for a Saturday, this can be changed to meet the needs of the students.

Details on the teleconference will be sent by the Instructor a week before the course begins.  Arrangements will be made to deliver, or have available for pickup, your books and other course materials.   If you are a last-moment attendee, that is fine, but there could be a delay in getting your the course materials.

During and after the course, there will be non-mandatory outings in the Galveston Island, Kemah and the Lake Conroe area to learn more about sailboats, vessel construction and maintenance, sails and sailmaking, and sailing Galveston Bay or other waters.  Some of these activities will be field trips, some activities will be on-the-water.  The Instructor will have details about the field trips and on-the-water activities during the course.  If you have a sailboat and want to host a field trip, please contact the instructor.
