Wilderness First Aid

Event Phone: 281-451-1146

This class covers the Wilderness First Aid course.   America’s Boating Club Houston offers this 2-day (16-hours) wilderness first aid (with CPR and AED) course.  This course is designed for the blue-water cruiser, or those on extended excursions, and kayakers in more remote locations, where help may be many hours or days away.  The focus is on patient assessment and treatments with limited available resources.

The complete course (including lunch on both days) takes about 16 hours depending on the number of students, experiences and field exercises.  All books, materials and supplies for the training are included. All students will also receive documents to support in-the-field operations.  There will be a break for a lunch, and dinner will be discussed, snacks and water are provided.

Prior training in first aid/CPR/AED is not required.

The course is taught under authorization of the Emergency Care & Safety Institute (ECSI).  Certificates of completion will be issued to those completing the course.  The training is good for 2 years.  Class size is limited to 8 students, a small additional number of students can be added if there is the demand.

We're sorry, but all tickets sales have ended because the event is expired.
