One of the main goals of America's Boating Club Houston is “boating safety through education” — we believe that an educated boater is a safer boater. We promote a high standard of skill in the handling and navigation of boats, power and sail; encourage and promote the study of the science of navigation, seamanship and small boat handling; and promote education programs for the benefit of members and the general public.
America's Boating Club teaches a series of outstanding courses that cover advanced seamanship, navigational techniques, and boat handling, maintenance, and enhancement topics. Take a look at our offerings – and join a class!
We teach boating safety courses; the America's Boating Course, 3rd Edition (ABC3) which is our basic boating safety course, and we teach the Texas Parks and Wildlife boater safety course. These courses are taught in-person. We have regularly scheduled classes, and can offer special classes for your group or organization at your location.
America's Boating Club Houston offers some courses exclusively to members. These courses are designed to help further the cause of United States Power Squadrons - America's Boating Club by furthering the education of our members so that they can deliver on our promise.
