20210330_110550.jpgFund Drive for Home Port

Unfortunately, Home Port had some problems following winter storm Uri.  A pipe burst in the kitchen, the cabinets and counter tops were ruined, and flooring was damaged.  In addition, frankly, we have not kept up with the deterioration of the interior.  The chief things needing refurbishment include the lights and ceiling tiles.

Houston is recognized as a great squadron, and one reason for our success is having a Home Port to conduct our business.  Can you imagine how difficult it would be to conduct our programs without Home Port?  We are fixing the problems with Home Port, but necessary expenditures (primarily for materials since we are having a lot of donated labor) is drawing down financial reserves that we should have for our next emergency.  So we have started up a fund raising campaign to rebuild our reserves.  Our goal is $6,500.00.  We welcome donations from people who have the ability to make the larger contributions, but we will have success only if everyone chips in what they can.  Please, everyone, give what you can even if it is only a little.  It will insure that we stay a great squadron.

You can make a donation on the website by clicking here.  Contributions are in multiples of $25.00.  So if you wish to contribute $125.00, for example, click the window until you get the number five, and then go to the cart to check out.

The other option is to write a check made out to America’s Boating Club Houston and send it to our Treasurer, Monica Cross, at the following address:
